I look at all those names. I think of all of their families and friends who were cut off from them so unexpectedly, so far from home. And now, 41 years later they can at least know what happened, thanks to your dedicated work and impressive achievement. Thank you for writing Loon, a Marine's Story.

I'll be forever grateful you're name is not on the list. I'm also grateful for the healing you're experienced in recent years.

Jack, this had to be a very difficult list for you to publish. I can't imagine your feelings as you did. Like those fifty-eight thousand names on The Wall, these are the names of men you knew and loved as brothers.

That was 41 years ago, but I'm sure for you today, it could have been yesterday.
