"The world is too much with us;

...late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;
Little we see in nature that is ours."

Ahh, togetherness. Do you suppose they are emailing each other?

WiFi in the park?

Nice observations, John. The world through your eyes is always a fascinating place.

Interesting and artistic picture, John. I like the quote with it too. Without the computers, would they be talking to each other...connecting, listening, observing each other's facial expressions. There's something sad about this, but it is what it is.

Happy New Year! I too love seeing things through your eyes.

Thanks R&D You are both a most appreciative audience (well, and of course Barb as well...)

What if they were each reading a book? Would we think it was sad or that they weren't communicating?
Or would we think, oh! educated people reading in the park!

We turn to you, little sister, to bridge us to a changing world. Thank you.

Perhaps, but this IS Hong Kong.
Were it a book would it not be on a Kindle.

what's a kindle? an electronic book you hold in your hand? did you see those in use?

I've taken another look. This is Hong Kong after all. They don't kow each other, they simply share a space...it's not Yellowstone NP or something roomy like that! She is reading an e-mail from her lover. He is trying to find a job. Aren't computers wonderful! I'm reminded of both interactions in 1966! The Times they are a changing!
